This is the oldest open water event on Maui. This year was postponed from Sun Sept 20, 2007 (no web site - contact Janet Renner of VIMS for more info ... we're hoping for a November date.)
Other Mainland Open Water Swims La Jolla Rough Water Swim This was my first ocean swim. The water's a little colder and they offer a 1 mile and 3 mile swim. This is always Sunday the week AFTER Labor Day and our Aumakua swim. RCP Tiburon Mile. If you like swimming off islands .. and you'd like a visit to San Francisco, you might try "escaping" from Angel Island. This is a LOT colder.
