2007 MAHALO & CONGRATULATIONS We swim for health, play, friends, the challenge, the accomplishment ... we do this for LIFE. Swimming is for life. So thanks everyone ... volunteers, swimmers, spectators ... for coming out for some lively water play on this beautiful day. This swim benefits Maui Dolphins Swim Club and Maui Masters Swim Club from Upcountry Maui - and you've all helped make this a wonderful success. It couldn't happen so successfully without the help of dozens of people putting in time, money, and heart. Thank you... (if you don't know these people ... you know people LIKE them at home ... thank them for all they do) First I need to thank T:)NI. She does SO much at the race, during the race, after the race and makes it possible for us to make this race happen. She makes the awards. She organizes the files, she puts up with long hours from me doing other stuff to make this happen. Swimmers ... without you, this event doesn't happen. Bring more friends next time. Food ,,, Laura and Maui Dolphins (Marcy, Dexter & Glynnis, lots more ... they don't even tell me how many people made this happen). Wow. Good food. Lots of work we never see. Course ... Doug and Doug and Randy ... thanks Randy ... setting the course was much easier this year with your boat - and some good ideas to speed up setup on Sunday. I wish I could have joined you out there for setup. And thanks for taking the buoys out. and also for the buoys and for watching over us ... thanks Maui County Ocean Safety Officers (Lifeguards Kekai and Josh). Don't forget the finish line ... thanks Christine and Michael ... with more help from JeffT, RichL, MattB, and coach Dave. Rich and Annemarie: You guys make me feel lazy and ... Annemarie ... I promise no more barcode reader. We've got a better way. And thanks for dinner the night before. Pete (and Julie & Steph) Thanks for coming out. We've got to get together some weekend when it isn't so busy so we can really catch up ... maybe snowboarding this winter!
